Status
Status classes of policies:
Links to various policies can be found by drilling down from Category:Policies - Wiktionary Top Level to the following sub-categories
- Category:Policies - Wiktionary Top Level - policies that are widely accepted and that everyone generally follows
- Category:Policy - Wiktionary Semi-Official - policy ideas that have not necessarily been accepted by consensus, but have some degree of support in the community
- category:Policy - Wiktionary Draft Proposal - Draft / Proposal policies are ones being developed. Have a look at them, but remember that the developer of the policy is still working on the document. Communicate with them if you have concerns, using either the Talk page or their User Talk page. But don't try to edit the actual Draft / Proposal article at the same time they are still working on it.
- Category:Policy - Wiktionary Policy Think-Tank - ideas being proposed as possible new policies
- Category:Policy - Wiktionary Rejected Policies - policy ideas that have been rejected or abandoned
- Category:Policy - Wiktionary Policy Implications- Pages that are not policy pages as such, but have strong Policy Implications, and should be reviewed for adherence to and reflection of policy. Typically these are instructional pages.
The naming of four of these categories was derived from Wikipedia, but changed marginally for appearance.
