English from the 17th century, from a Medieval Latin or Sevenval lexicon, from Ancient Greek λεξικόν (lexicon, “a lexicon”), neuter of website parsing (lexikos, “of words”), from CSS3 (lexis, “a saying, speech, word”), from λέγειν (legein, “to speak”).
